The Soho Dolls - Ribbed Music For The Numb Generation

#
And also, one for the masses... well not really but their music can make monks wanna wank (in a good way always) according to NME. This is their debut album... which I actually bought for a change - this is how much I love them!

Britney Spears - Blackout

#
It has been a looong time since I uploaded sth so I decided to come back with a bang! So please find attached the latest album by Britney which I personally believe is the best work she has done so far. Don't dismiss this thinking that it's just teeny pop... trust me and try it... you will love it!

Britney Spears - Blackout

Do you know what this is?

#

Ok, so who can tell what this is? Coming soon...

Sony Bravia ad

#
The latest Sony Bravia ad. Not bad but I really don't like bunnies... or play dough for that matter.
Btw, this is the same guy who did the gorilla ad for Cadbury as well as the two previous ads for Sony Bravia. I guess he just walked into the conference room and said: "Ok everyone, listen up! I don't care what the fuck you do... for this one I want a gorilla playing the drums!"

Kylie Minogue - 2 Hearts

#
Quite a good start for Kylie. Really changed her style although I am not yet convinced she is back for good.

Greenpeace ad

#

Tag line: "BA's answer to climate change".
This would have been my contribution to Blog Action Day 2007 if it hadn't been for my crappy Internet connection...

Bandwidth problems

#
No I haven't died, nor have I abandoned my blog. I have just been having some major ISP problems that I am hoping will go away anytime within the next two weeks.
I am really sorry that I haven't been able to post anything during the last month but my bandwidth is really hurting at the mo (I can barely read my emails let alone download or upload anything).
So be patient my true believers and I promise I will make it up to you!

The Soho Dolls - Right And Right Again

#
And YES!!! FINALLY!!! the first album by The Soho Dolls is out!!! Unfortunately, I am not posting it yet simply because I don't have it. I am gonna buy it tomorrow so I should be able to upload it within this week.

To get a taste of what I am talking about here, just read the following review from NME.

Also, have a look at their latest music video of Right And Right Again which of course is included in the debut album. Maya, once again looks fUcKtAsTiC, although she is actually pretty tiny. I remember after one of their gigs when we went for a pint at a local pub, she could barely clear my chest...
But still enough to make monks wank!

Feist - 1234

#
Loving the colours and the simplicity of this song. Ok, it's a bit too happy but... maybe we need that from time to time.

PeTA ad

#

And I am aBeThE and I looove Photoshop! I mean c'mon! If she looked like that she would have made sth with her life!

The Gossip - Standing In The Way Of Control (the audio)

#

A bit later than promised but still good. Enjoy their latest album.

The Gossip - Standing In The Way Of Control (the video)

#

Bootylicious... seriously!
Tomorrow, I will be publishing their entire album.

Chungking - Stay Up Forever

#
Loving the song which is in Chungking's latest album Stay Up Forever. Now about the video, I don't know whether it's cheap or cult. Yours to decide. Definitely British though...

Cadbury ad

#
Amazing ad by Cadbury. There is virtually no association between the product and the advertising message (apart from the purple wall in the background). The purpose here is to create a sheer feeling of joy, to simply make you smile exactly as you smile when you indulge into the sweet taste of chocolate (at least this is what the creative agency, that came up with this ad, claims). Of course, it doesn't hurt Cadbury if you go out and buy the chocolate as well... Experiential and positive association branding at its best!

Britney the bItCh

#
And yes I am back! Unfortunately, I was having some major problems with my internet provider and I was internetless ever since I got back from my holidays!
But all is good now... I think...

So Britney - the bItCh apparently - is back and everyone has been talking about her recent performance at the 2007 VMAs. All I have to say is that the new song is really catchy and I believe it is going to be all over clubs the next few months. As far as her performance goes, she was definitely on to sth and yes she is trashing her image but isn't that the way to go? Will you ever again think of Britney as a virgin teen, "I will show you my pussy but you can't touch" pop queen? Mission accomplished!

Rilo Kiley - The Moneymaker

#
Fabulous... let's drive the bitch away!

17 days

#
That is how long my SUMMER HOLIDAYS will last!!! I am now just 6 hours and 35 minutes away from getting myself to a beach and just dying there... Seriously, I am not gonna do much more than that... and that is exactly what I want! So take care my true believers because winter is just around the corner. But who the fuck cares about that now? I am offfffffffffffff

True Believer

#

They are getting sooo much better! This was the third time I saw the Dragonette live and I must say they totally deserve everyone's attention! Relaxed and full of energy, they managed to almost make me faint. I was so close I could just hug Tina. I had a chat with her after the gig and she told me that they currently live in London, that her best friend in Canada is Greek or Canadian-Greek (dunno...) and that they will play again live in London before the end of August.
Many thanks to bebe for using my camera to get all the footage and G. for just being so uniquely present!

ps: Thumpy, I think you should move to London...

And now tilt your head a little bit to the left...

Tegan and Sara - Back In Your Head

#
Quite enjoying this at the mo... Thanks Thumpy!

Bowling Dragonette!

#
Going to see the Dragonette again tonight... for the third time in just a few months. I guess they are out and about quite a lot! This time they chose a bowling alley... not so sure if this is going to be a good one but hey... I guess there is only one way to find out.

Fucking Dragonette!

#

So this is what you get when you go to a Dragonette gig. Don't know if I will be using them though... it would be a shame to just waste them on a simple fuck.

Once again they were amazing and this time they performed for much longer than the last time I saw them. Can't wait until next time!

The Sounds - Painted By Numbers

#
Those Sounds from beloved Sweden are quickly becoming my favorite band at the mo... I think I even like them more than the Dragonettes!!! (OMG, can't believe I even said that...)
Btw, all you true believers out there, stay tuned because on Wednesday I am going with G. to see the Dragonettes live for the second time. Hopefully, I will come back with some goodies...

In the meantime, enjoy this kick ass music video by The Sounds. She is so fUcKiNg hot.

Goldfrapp - Strict Machine (We Are Glitter Mix)

#
I am sure most of you will have heard this song already... But this is such an amazing mix of it that I believe you should still give it a go. So dodgy, posh and sexy...

The video is a live performance of the song by Goldfrapp during Glastonbury 2004. Now, there are a couple of things I want you to pay attention to. Alison, as well as the two dancers around her, are wearing horse tails and imitate the movements of horses.

I remember her once saying that she got the idea of this theme while being in a sex shop and wondering how it would be to wear a strap-on the other way around... Also, this is way before Madonna used that horse concept in her last world tour... jealous?

The Sunday Mail ad

#
I know, I know... I have been gone for a while but that's just because I haven't really found anything interesting to post. Things have been kinda slow...

Just today, I discovered this ad which I believe must have been quite expensive to produce. Now even though press is going way down (at least in England), this ad is worth your time... plus it's only a minute long.

ps: some of the links may not be working but I am looking into it so bear with me...

iPhone ad

#
Just make sure your hands are clean before you start using your beloved iPhone.

Explore Your Senses ad

#
Well, I know where I am going this summer... do you?

Heinz ad

#

Perfect match between the advertised message, the visual and the product. Simplicity is the key to successful advertising.

Dragonette - Galore

#

Finally! ! !
I want you to download the shit out of this one!

Quoting My Flatmate #1

#
One of my flatmates is not just your ordinary guy. You will get the chance to discover this through his quotes that I will be publishing every now and then.

G. talking about love: "The object of desire is anamorphic"

G. talking about chocolate: "Sugar is pour man's cocaine"

G. talking about drugs: "Cocaine, above all, has a social status"

Dragonette - Take It Like A Man

#
Second fab music video by the Dragonette. They are well on their way of becoming (porn) stars! Tomorrow, I will be posting their debut album... and you surely don't wanna miss that!

Beyonce ft. Shakira - Beautiful Liar

#
Right... the song is quite generic and they both look like clones of each other. Well, at the end of the day ass sells!

Pink - U + Ur Hand

#
Oh my God! I actually like a song by Pink. Weird... Oh and btw, I don't need my hand... I will just get out my Fleshlight!

Mikro - Restart

#

This is the latest album by Mikro. Dedicated to Natalie and Lampros who are currently living their lives in Belgium. At least you guys will appreciate this!

Mikro - Only The Best

#

Mikro is a band based in Greece. Formed in 1998 and named after the Greek word micro used in metric measuring systems, they are by far the best electro pop band in Greece at the mo. Their songs have been featured in films as well as in ads. This is a collection of their best songs published in 2004. Now, although many of their songs are instrumental, some are in Greek but that doesn't mean this is not worth your bandwidth. Their music is just to die for! So c'mon, be a bit more international and get this. You can thank me later...

Mikro - Only The Best: Part 1, Part 2

To get a taste of their music or if you just want to find out how to have a breath holding contest, watch the music video below.

Chris Cornell - Carry On

#
As promised below, here is the second personal album of Chris Cornell, released on June 5, 2007.

This is for you Shaz... you who waited patiently but miserably in the cold and the rain for many hours so that you could just catch a glimpse of Chris's waistline while he raised his hands just for one precious second...

Chris Cornell - Carry On

Hyde Park Calling

#
Well yesterday I went to Hyde Park to see the Aerosmith. Needless to say, I was blown away! I still can't believe that a bunch of sixty year olds were able to give such an amazing performance. And yes, Steven Tyler's mouth can still hold three microphones! Also, I was pleasantly surprised by Chris Cornell, the former lead singer of Audioslave and Soundgarden, who was singing right before Aerosmith.
Within the week, I will be posting Devil's Got A New Disguise, the latest album by Aerosmith (no no no, don't get excited, it's just a collection of their greatest hits so far). Also, I will be publishing Chris Cornell's second solo album titled Carry On.
Finally, sing a - long to this week's tune, You Know My Name by Chris Cornell. For those of you that don't know it already, this song was featured in the latest James Bond movie, Casino Royale.

WoW

#
Shit! I started playing WoW again... this can't be good. It's quite addictive and can take up a lot of my time. Promise I will be back with some cool updates! In case you wanna try the game out, I have two 10-day guest pass keys available. Drop me an email @ abethe07@gmail.com and they are yours (I don't recommend you doing this but hey, it's your life). No seriously, it's not that bad...

Raining Pleasure - Flood

#
One of my favorite bands, Raining Pleasure have always made me wonder about the duality of their name: is it raining pleasure or is it the pleasure of raining? Having shared festival stages with The Cure, The Pixies, The Dandy Warhols and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, I think this is a band you need to know. Flood: (Coming of A) Great Quantity of Water is their second and best album so far. A bit old (2001) but still worth listening to. If you don't believe me have a go at the music video of Fake, the album's biggest hit.

Raining Pleasure - Flood

ps: ok, you are right... I too have seen amateur sex movies that had a bigger budget than this video.
