Ok, scrap my previous post on Adele... This is the new Amy Winehouse! Straight out of BRIT school! G. has her full album which I will be posting as soon as I get my hands on it! In the meantime, enjoy this amazing song which could do with a better video to be honest...

See anything different? I certainly don't...
For those of you that don't remember, take a look at the Sony Bravia ads.

I looove discovering new bands! Yesterday, I went with bebe to a bar/music stage in downtown London where a guy she knows was playing with his band: The Gadsdens. I have to say that at first I thought it was going to be a boring night (although having bebe around is never boring), but I was really impressed by the way this band was playing and by the quality of their songs. Now, the band is very new and they are still working on several songs but I think they are well on their way to sth big! Please, please, please check out their MySpace!!!

This has been my ringtone for as long as I can remember... love it!

Five artists were assigned a color. Then they wrote a song and created a video. Very neat project... especially "Black" by The Raveonettes. Go to the website where you can watch all videos and also download the songs for free!

Could this possibly be the new Amy Winehouse? I mean yeah she is not as dark as Amy is, but her voice really reminds me of her! Obviously, you have to take away all the tattoos, the make-up and the drugs... oh and recently the Grammies!
Now the song itself is quite cute, sth between Amy and Feist but definitely soothing on a Monday morning! Also, with Valentine's day coming up, I am sure you will listen to this in a bar or restaurant somewhere. Finally, the video is kinda cool too... and no, before you start wondering, I am not in love!

A while ago, I did a post on Spitzer, a new electronic duo from France. Well, I just received an email from them and it really looks like the guys are going places! They were asked by EMI to do a remix of Kylie's In My Arms which will be included in the upcoming release of her single in February. Click the link below to download it! Pretty cool...

I seem to be going though a Scandinavian phase atm... so after Sweden (Melody Club) comes Denmark (Alphabeat). This is their latest video as far as I know. Beware... it is extremely gay! It also made me realise how much damage Mika has done..!

Yet another Swedish band... pretty cool, sth between Synthpop and Glam rock. And yes, the song was in FIFA 08 by EA Sports, and yes the guy is kinda creepy.

Originally produced by Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, this is one of the best re-edits of 2007! This video was made by some random guy but I think it's far better than the official music video of the song... shows exactly how the drugs kick in.

Heard this in a funky bar in downtown Athens the other night. First I thought it was a cover of the tune in the Sony Bravia ad (you know the one with the bouncing balls in the streets of San Fransisco), but it turns out it's the other way around. So there you go... originally produced by The Knife... much much better than Jose Gonzalez's cover I say.

Copy: "At this moment, your bum is completely exposed. If it were in a sexy pair of jeans, it would attract attention all the time!"
Brilliant outdoor execution from a creative agency in Zagreb, Croatia.

Finally, a new band I like! And it's all thanks to my friend .tsouk who just came back from Japan and was carrying this little gem hidden in his hard drive. Capsule (カプセル) are a Shibuya-kei group, consisting of vocalist Toshiko Koshijima and producer Yasutaka Nakata. Most of the songs in the album are in English with some in Japanese. To get a taste of their music, check out the YouTube video below. Kawaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!

I recently received an email from two French dudes... They form an electronic duo named Spitzer. After sampling their music I have to say I found it quite energetic and refreshing. The best part is that they told me the main reason they are playing (apart from loving music of course) is that they want to make people dance. Can you think of a better reason? Plus, their album cover totally matches the colours of my blog, lol!
